I Had to Make You Uncomfortable

Things are really uncomfortable in the world at large right now, and likely in your immediate world as well. It's easy to feel overwhelmed and powerless, but I am here to tell you, that you can get past the overwhelm and into your very real power.

For the past few months (it's been 6 months since I've written anything here, almost that long on Medium), I will admit that I have been overwhelmed, although I can see now that I haven't been completely powerless during that time despite the feeling at times.

Along with a flash trip to California for my youngest daughter's high school graduation (with car troubles), hosting three of our kids for about 5 weeks, my husband's knee replacement surgery and a recovery gone wrong including two Emergency Room visits (not to mention an ER visit with my dad while he was visiting), among other things, I have seen some miracles happen too. Some are still in progress and will likely be shared in subsequent posts. And by miracles, I mean to include manifesting.

Einstein is credited with saying, "“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” One thing I realized today is that miracles never happen when everything is going right, other than that being a miracle in and of itself. If things aren't going to your plan, that is the time to expect miracles... IF you are willing. (The will to choose that perception comes first, then a very necessary practice of maintaining that perception.)

Moving Out of Uncomfortable

There's a quote floating around attributed to the universe: "I had to make you uncomfortable, otherwise you never would have moved."

The universe (God, Source, Creative Intelligence) is really on our side, but sometimes it comes down to allowing us to go through some pretty uncomfortable situations to make us sit up and take notice of some amazing truths. (I've determined there's a law called the Law of No Interference, which basically says help is always available, but we have to ask for it.)

We can put up with discomfort for seemingly unreasonable amounts of time, but at some point, the real uncomfortable comes in as a catalyst that changes everything. We are at rock bottom, our wits end, dark knight of the soul, or depths of despair, and finally we decide there must be something better.

My Rock Bottom Example

There's no need to hit rock bottom of course, so don't think you have to let things get any worse. I'll give you an example of what I mean.

For the last 10 or more years I have struggled with my weight. There is no "rock-top" per se because I could certainly gain more weight than I have but my personal limit is 212 lbs. 212 degrees is where water boils, so I have called this my boiling point. When I reach 212 pounds, I decide that I am just far too uncomfortable to not move into a healthier lifestyle. (Thank you Universe!)

Of course, I could choose 199 or 187 or another number, but the point is that at 212 pounds, uncomfortable in virtually all my clothes, even new ones bought to "fit" me, I decided that I had had enough. I began to garner forces, inner and outer, to move the needle on the scale. I am happy to say that in 60 days I have lost twenty-five pounds!

So, you can make rock bottom right now, because let's face it, things could always be worse. No need to go there.

Help is Available

Inside you is an Inner Alchemist, otherwise known as your Higher Self, the Divine in you. This Inner Alchemist is just waiting for you to request an audience, one where you make known that you are looking for a higher form of assistance.

Maybe you've been in contact with your Old Soul Inner Alchemist, maybe not. If you're still feeling overwhelmed, it's likely you may need to summon that help again. It's important not to continue to wholly rely on outer help, which likely hasn't worked - at least not entirely - up to now.

Virtually every spiritual tradition echoes this sentiment: You are a spark of the Divine.

Not only that, but your spark is incredibly potent. Your spark is in the image and likeness (of the same quality) as the Big Spark. It carries the seed of equivalent power found in the fires of Source or God. Much, if not all, of this power is contained in your mind, in your IMAGINATION!

It is one of the reasons I have focused so heavily on imagery and imagination for healing and personal empowerment. In coming weeks, I will be delving into some new directions, one being New Thought, including the amazing works of Neville Goddard, another being A Course in Miracles. One other fascinating text that has captured my devoted attention is an obscure 6-volume work published in the early twentieth century called Life and Teaching of the Masters of the Far East by Baird T. Spalding. More on that soon.

On that note, stay tuned! There is much more to follow, as I come back online and share my studies and experiences.
